Jr. Gulls Travel Hockey

Once a player has experienced in-house and/or tournament team hockey, he or she should be ready to progress to the next step of development, travel hockey. If a player has the ability and is looking for more from the sport, it is vital to their development that they participate at a higher level. Ice-Plex offers travel hockey that provides a professional coaching staff and an independent Board of Directors, with many years of travel hockey experience. These teams practice twice per week and participate in one game per weekend, half home games and half away (average drive 1 1⁄2 hours). The season goes from late August through early March. Travel teams also participate in the above-mentioned four tournaments. Our travel hockey team is part of an elite Southern California hockey league known as SCAHA, as well as a member of CAHA, who governs all of California’s elite hockey programs. Players wishing to play at higher levels (ie: NHL, College Hockey, Junior Hockey, etc) will be introduced to this route via travel hockey.

Our impressive list of Alumni have played in the NHL, other Professional Leagues, NCAA, Junior A Tier 1/2, in the USA NDTP, and on USA 20U World Junior Championship Team. We have 4 players that were either drafted, signed or played in the NHL, 3 that have played in the USA NTDP, at least 21 have played NCAA D1, at least 20 played NCAA D3, and at least 45 that have played Junior A in the USHL, BCHL, or NAHL. As well as 23 invites to the USA National Select Development Camp in the last 10 years.
